Alrighty. Figured I should be a bit better at actually telling y'all what's going on now. So here's the deal.
Updates: Andrew has had a busy summer. In between leaving me for a week to go to Science Camp, job searching and ear surgery, he's hardly had time to relax at all. Not to mention the honey-do list I gave him for the summer. Me? I'm just limping along trying work up the energy to get through a day. House is a wreck cuz I just don't have the energy to clean it. Hormones are sending me through too many changes a day that I can hardly keep up. And I just feel fat. Not pregnant, just fat. Lol. And to think I asked for this! No, really, I'm thrilled for it all. Just have to allow me my moments of complaining.
Food diary: Today I've eaten cereal, meatloaf, chips and salsa and peanut m&m's. The peanut m&m's were at the same time as the chips and salsa. No wonder I'm nauseous??!
Observations: So I've been a good girl and have been doing lots of reading up on the do's and don'ts of pregnancy. And you know, some things that I'm running into are just cracking me up. Like, I'm only supposed to sleep on my left side. Not back, right or tummy. Now, the tummy I can understand...kinda hard to sleep on your tummy with what will be a basketball in your belly. But not on the back or right either!? Because to get the right nutrients to Shrimp you have to be on your left? Ok, I'm sorry. I guess Shrimp will be a runt, because I'm sleeping on my back and right side as well, lol. My ear will thank me for it! Also, I'm having a cup of a caffeinated beverage a day. And I am not worried about eating mayo or vacuuming my floors. Sometimes I just gotta roll my eyes, shrug my shoulders and do what I feel is best. I'll probably get murdered for these thoughts, but oh well, lol.
Shrimp: We are 11 weeks 1 day today. So 28 more weeks and 6 days remaining, lol. Yes, thanks to tickers, I know EXACTLY where I am, thankfully! My weekly e-mail tells me:
Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.
Although, I must say I have felt "popping" in that general area so I think I'm getting something. And no, it's not gas, this felt entirely different.
And, we heard the heartbeat last night, yay! We bought a doppler a few weeks ago but this is the first we've been able to find it on our own. It was very exciting as this is the first time Andrew heard it since he ditched me for Science camp and couldn't come to the appointment where I heard it. :-D
Anyway, that's all. Bye!
